KEY FEATURES THAT MAKES THE GALAXY NOTE 8 COOL

2017-07-04

The Galaxy Note 8 has several features that can revolutionize the smartphone usage, out of which these five will surely make using any smartphone other than the Note 8 difficult.

Translate with S Pen:

With the Galaxy Note 8, one will be able to translate languages on the move, without the need to go on the web. All one needs to do is access the S Pen shortcuts and select ‘Translate’, wherein one can only translate selected text by hovering S Pen over it.

Animated GIF:

The Galaxy Note 8 has an animated GIF making feature. With the S Pen, you need to select ‘Smart Select’ and choose ‘Animation’ to get going. You can record a footage of whatever is playing on the screen and save it as a GIF to use it in your WhatsApp or Facebook conversations.

Hide bottom navigation bar:

In Android, the navigation bar at the bottom remains active in all apps other than video player apps and games as it is the only way to go back and forth in your phone’s interface. The issue with this is that it tends to capture some of the valuable on-screen real estate while browsing the web or scrolling through your gallery. The Note 8 gives its users an option to hide it on demand, i.e. you can hide when you want by double tapping it and make it come back when you need it by swiping up from the bottom and double tapping on it again..

Use S Pen’s button as an eraser:

Samsung has made it easy for its Note users to scribble their thoughts on their palm-sized canvas since ages and with the Note 8’s S Pen, users can erase their digital scribbles by pressing and holding the side button on the S Pen.

See notifications from the fingerprint sensor:

The latest range of Samsung flagships has developed an affinity to sport the fingerprint sensor by the rear camera module. While this criticized fingerprint sensor position has been carried over from the S8 to the Note 8, it does house one neat trick to help users manage the phablet with one-hand — drop down the notification panel by swiping down on the sensor and withdraw it by swiping up. This feature has been part of most smartphones in the present times and with its inclusion in the Note 8, it is yet to be seen whether this comes as of any help to the user.
